The Lost Mitten

Mia had a pair of red mittens. On a snowy day, she went to the park with her dad. They rolled three big balls of snow and made a snowman. Mia gave it a carrot nose and two stick arms.

When it was time to go home, Mia had only one mitten. “Oh no!” she said. They looked by the slide. They looked by the swings. Then Dad started to laugh. The snowman was wearing Mia's red mitten on its stick arm!

Mia put the mitten back on her hand. She waved goodbye to the snowman, and they walked home for hot cocoa.
